Needs Tracker Hours Adjusted to Support timely Processing of Requests

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 23) — Beginning Monday, February 23, the online Needs Tracker on NashvilleResponds.com will be available on a limited weekly schedule as response partners work through a significant volume of requests already received.

The Needs Tracker will now be open from noon on Monday through 7:00 p.m. on Thursday each week.

This change is being implemented by the Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) to allow nonprofit partners the necessary time to review and respond to existing applications. Due to the high volume of submissions, community members are strongly encouraged not to reapply if they have already completed a Needs Tracker.

“Submitting more than one request does not speed up the process and can delay assistance for others,” said VOAD leadership. “Every completed Needs Tracker is recorded, and partners are actively working through them.”

Applicants should allow a minimum of 14 business days for follow-up from a responding agency.

Individuals seeking assistance or additional guidance may also call 2-1-1, available Monday through Thursday, to speak with a trained specialist who can provide information and referrals.

Community members are asked for patience as response partners continue working diligently to ensure storm-related needs are addressed responsibly and in alignment with available resources.
